getting ready for construction at cyc-crown!

Two of CYC’s flagship Centers are getting makeovers! While the world continues to occupy a strange state of stagnation, CYC is moving forward with renovations that will make our spaces more appealing to our students and families. At CYC-Rebecca K. Crown Youth Center in South Shore, a grant from the State of Illinois is providing needed updates to classrooms, bathrooms, technology infrastructure, the teen room, and more. This will help us to better utilize space and make it more accessible for participants with disabilities.  

At CYC-Sidney Epstein Youth Center in North Lawndale, a generous gift from the National Recreation Foundation will support gardening and sports programming as well as renovations to the historic gym, which includes updates to the multipurpose sports court, stage, and adjacent garden. We can’t wait for this new space to enhance our recreation programs which will get kids moving and playing.
