Making a Big Difference for CYC's Littlest Learners

As CYC continues to offer safe, in-person programming, we want to ensure our spaces are equipped to offer the very best for our youth. So began CYC’s latest project: turning a small space into a hybrid classroom and office for our youth and staff.

Thanks to the help of a volunteer group from BDO, the CYC team began to clear out storage closets and a shed to make room for new desks, shelving, and everything else our youth and staff need. Not only did the BDO volunteers help haul, toss, and organize tons of items, they also have helped with CYC’s Wish List: a collection of items needed to fill this critical space. The most important element: a partition, allowing one room to become two. CYC can utilize this partition to have a separate classroom for our young learners and an organized office for staff on the other side. You can help CYC purchase our essential partition by clicking the button below.

CYC relies on the generosity of donors, volunteers, foundations, and corporations to ensure our youth and families receive the best care possible. Transforming our small, but mighty, spaces allows us to safely serve more Chicago children while guaranteeing our hard-working team members have the environment and tools to continue their invaluable work.
