Chicago Youth Centers’ (CYC) Summer Fun program provides children age 5–12 with a safe environment to engage in structured, fun, and safe day-camp activities Monday through Friday. Program participants receive three healthy meals daily and opportunities for a variety of field trips weekly. Past field trips have included the Brookfield Zoo, Golden Corral and Nickel City. CYC’s Summer Fun Day Camp is an extension of our School-Age Child Development Program: participants have the opportunity to engage more deeply in different projects, activities, and games. Through Summer Fun, our children make new friends and build long lasting relationships. Our teens help with the Summer Fun program through informal mentoring and helping our staff facilitate activities.
CYC’s Summer Fun is offered in the following CYC centers: ABC Polk Bros. Youth Center, Rebecca K. Crown Youth Center, Elliott Donnelley Youth Center and Fellowship House.
