Reginald Chambliss was a participant of CYC Elliott Donnelley Center in the Bronzeville neighborhood since the age of five, and was in CYC’s Teen Leadership Development program. He attended Dunbar Vocational High School, maintaining a grade point average of 3.2 or better. He participated in Upward Bound and  played on Dunbar’s varsity basketball team for two years. He also participated in the After School Matters baseball tournament, with his team winning first place two years in a row.

PAST:
Alscee Bonner has been in foster care most of his life. When he was first referred to CYC’s Education Support Initiative (ESI) program, he was not attending school and was engaging in high-risk behaviors, seeing the world as a hostile place.
