Camp Rosenthal is a rustic summer residential camp located in Dowagiac, Michigan, just 115 miles from Chicago. Located on 530 wooded acres, it surrounds a 30-acre lake. It's the perfect place to make new friends, explore new activities, and learn leadership and team-building skills.  

The camp is divided into four villages, each of which consists of cabins, a bathhouse and an activity building. Campers are grouped in villages by age and gender and sleep eight to a cabin along with two counselors who maintain a consistent, caring, and attentive presence throughout the day and night. The Camp dining hall is large enough for all campers to eat together family style. The food is delicious and plentiful—no one leaves a meal hungry!  

   Activities

Activities include swimming, paddle boating, canoeing, fishing, arts & crafts, hiking, environmental education, bicycling, dance, group games, talent shows, plays & skits, singing and music, campfire storytelling, cook-outs, environmental education, archery, ropes courses, and creative writing! Campers make life-long friends, learn self-reliance, and learn more about the natural world and their place in it in a safe, beautiful environment. 

 Summer 2010 Schedule

Session One:    June 21 to 30, 7 to 12 years (grades 2-6)

Session Two:   July 6 to 15, 7 to 12 years (grades 2-6)

Session Three: July 19 to 29,  7 to 12 years (grades 2-6)

Session Four:   August 2 to 10, 7 to 12 years (grades 2-6)

Session Five:   August 13 to 20, Teen Camp, 13 to 15 years (grades 7-9)

Session Six:     August 23 to  27, Family Camp, no children under 3 years

Applications are accepted beginning in January; early enrollment ensures your choice of session.
