E-Mentoring Program
The e-mentoring program is designed to be a short-term pilot project combining mentoring best practices with new technology. The objective of the program is to match at-risk urban youth from Chicago Youth Centers with positive adult role models from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology who will provide monthly mentoring services via a free web-based service called Skype.

E-Mentoring partners five students from the CYC-Elliott Donnelley Youth Center (EDYC) and five graduate-level students from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. The CYC youth were selected by the Master Youth Worker at EDYC based on the following criteria: (1) their perceived interest in the program, (2) availability based on time of the sessions, and (3) need for a mentor. The pilot program is from January-June. We will explore options to continue the program in the late spring.
